Misguided and ill-informed
I liked this show a lot... until I got to the show about homeopathy. Taking on ‘holistic medicine’ (only briefly mentioned) and specifically homeopathy as unscientific and ineffective is a really poor choice. Considering Western “scientific” Allopathic Medical Error is the third leading cause of DEATH in the United States, and Opiates along with other pharmaceuticals (often ineffective themselves) are the most commonly abused drugs along with alcohol and tobacco, taking on alternatives from an allopathic lens - an extremely poorly informed one at that - is doing just as much harm to listeners as a jar of snake skin and beaver butt-bags. People are dying from mis-applied western medicine today at a very alarming rate. There are issues with holistic medicine, especially in how it is marketed, but prioritizing that as a scapegoat of bad medicine is ignorant, there’s far more criminal and opaque medicine to be criticized. I’ll be unsubscribing and not helping this podcast get any more attention, folks deserve better.

Wonderfully written and produced. Can’t stop listening and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this podcast. Exactly the itch I was looking to scratch.

Started listening from the beginning after getting this recommended through Our Fake History (I think). Enjoy the historical episodes much more than the punditry episodes (snark of current events gets tiring). Keep up the good work.
