It’s such a relief that ‘Chris Skinner’s Countryside Podcast’ has been set up so we can all continue listening to him and Matt!

I have only just found this podcast to hear it is about to finish! The description is wonderful and full of interesting information. I am unable to get out into the countryside due to illness and listening to this I am able to immerse myself in nature and really imagine I am there! My sixteen...Read full review »

I am a big fan from the early podcast days seemingly 10years? Every week something new rural riddle, adventures with Rat & red letter days spotting wildlife.

Love this podcast. Chris is so knowledgeable what he doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing. Very cheerful presenters. I listen when I’m walking and also if I can’t sleep it’s so soothing. Thanks so much to both presenters

Have learned a great listening to Farmer Skinner, who makes his farm in Norfolk vast and intriguing. Affable host Matthew and others from BBC Norfolk make for a thoroughly enjoyable (almost) hour. Terrier Rat occasionally gets some unmerited bad press, because he sounds like a good boy.

Though we Live in the Forest of Dean , both being total wildlife and nature nuts we never go anywhere in the car without listening to Chris ( and often Rat) describe in knowledgable detail the flora and fauna on High Ash Farm. Just Brilliant well done and thank you for all you do and teach others...Read full review »

It’s so so interesting and I’m always fascinated how much information Chris Skinner knows and shares about the countryside. I’ve never seen some of the birds as by the sea in Cornwall, so really fab and re listen to many again during this lockdown. Thank you When are you returning to Country...Read full review »

I am yet another Australian fan. Why can’t we do something similar here in Oz? Our ABC costs us millions but spends most of its time on political commentary (on the left).

Stumbled across these podcasts quite recently and find them quite delightful. The way Chris discusses the wildlife on his farm and in his part of the World is fantastic. TV wildlife programs are often as much about the presenter but to listen via the radio is somehow far more vivid. Chris has a...Read full review »

So happy there are lots of episodes here. They are getting me through lockdown, here in Australia! Long may they continue. And they talk in feet and inches...meters are the only metric l have not really adjusted too. All good.
