I don’t know what…this is. Also, awful mouth noises.
Beyond odd. I assumed the early episodes were a learning experience for them, but after skipping ahead to the newest ones, the same issues persisted: 1. They seem to be reading some kind of report that they have written, but when they misspeak, they don’t edit that out. So there are gaps of 5 to 15 seconds when they literally say nothing (dead air) as they find their place and start again. 2. They don’t seem to have conducted basic research at times, so during the conversation, one person will ask a question (for example, how far the survivor of the story had to walk or whatever) and the other person will literally Google it — followed by another 5 - 15 second gap of dead air. 3. Their microphones don’t appear to work properly. At times one of the women sounds like she’s whispering and can barely be heard. This has happened on more than one episode. 4. I will say that if you are a lover of hearing the literal saliva in a person’s mouth as they speak, and swallow, and you enjoy the breathing of someone talking into a microphone, then this is the podcast for you. Their mouth noises are excruciating. Bizarre podcast. Great potential completely mishandled.

Excellent stories told in a conversational style.

They seem poorly researched and unprepared. It’s like they say one sentence and then pause for 5 seconds and then the next sentence, this cadence continues throughout the entire podcast. They have little to no energy, seemingly bored with the info they are putting out. Lots of unfunny jokes...Read full review »

Despite having great content to work with the two speakers ruin this show. They put in minimal effort to truly understand and describe the amazing survival stories. It is a real pity and one episode is one too many.
