The Tanning of Oppression
Absolutely incredible how the message of this “podcast” (mess-of-a-hit-piece) ended up being a classist, socialist, anti-Semitic diatribe. Leandra is a lot of things, but her experience as a first generation American is just as valid as any of the disorganized rhetoric of the anti-racist movement. And to deride the recent or historic horrors of the Semitic race as somehow less-than or “besides-the-point” reveals the uneducated and ignorant platitudes of cancel culture. Fanon said that those colonized often dream of becoming the colonizer and, well, still holds true now and then.

The mouth sounds, weird levels of background music made this podcast almost unlistenable. The content was super interesting and well done but truly painful to listen to the host’s swallowing the entire time.
