“I’ve loved Ryan’s writing and lessons that he has introduced to me, but the recent political bias and agenda thrown into what is supposed to be a philosophical email/podcast are off-putting. Sure a “stoic” should brush it off and be “stoic.” But I hear enough political garbage in my daily life be it at work or through ridiculous overshared, incorrectly quoted memes that I really don’t need it to bleed into every part of my waking life. I get where he is coming from comparing current political leaders to those thousands of years ago, but is it for the sake of comparison, lack of new ideas or flat out pro-party regurgitation?
I think it would be different had Ryan’s book “Conspiracy” not ended with a Trump bash fest that really didn’t have much to add to the story as a whole. Trump bash, Obama bash, Hillary bash.... just leave it out!
I’m going to keep listening, and forgive the man for he is only a man, but if this turns into a political podcast, then I’m out!”
