Absolutely love Ryan, and especially the short 10 minute meditations each day that help me start the morning with a reflection on Stoicism.

I am so pleasantly surprised at the feminist understanding of the host! I was expecting an old boys type of message as the topic is philosophical. Content is interesting and varied too!

What a great find! Now my favorite author has a a podcast! Thank you!! Part of my daily ritual!

i’m not sure how or when I stumbled across the podcast and Ryans work, but it is something I am grateful has happened. I heard one YouTube video and then started making notes, I then filled up so many queue cards and kept writing and writing, it has made me question and re-evaluate so much of my...Read full review »

Great way to start the day. This podcast pairs well with the Daily Stoic book. Thank you for taking the time to do these episodes Ryan!

I’m really surprised by the arrogance and narcissistic personality that Ryan exhibits on this podcast. He’s at his best when he’s sharing the wisdom of the Stoics and at his worst when he’s offering his own personal and very partisan political views. There is some great information here, but be...Read full review »

Love the podcast, but why does he not want to give folks in Canada access to the book for $1.99?

I really appreciate the stoic insights and ideas. I have purchased multiple books by Ryan Holiday. The philosophy has been immensely helpful to me personally. The two main issues I have with the podcast are: 1) Ads - I understand you need to generate income to make it worth your while. But...Read full review »

Wonderful podcast, articulate, funny, thoughtful. I would give it 6 stars if possible.

Great content and discussions. I’m specifically touched by the episode Don’t Join the Mob, knowing Ryan shares his universal wisdom and has a brave and firm point of view.

As the government gets bigger, the individual becomes smaller. You said if I disagree, to unfollow. I have purchased your books, I write in my journal and introduce friends and colleagues to you work. I believe you have a blind spot. I find Ryan’s writings on Stoicism very inspiring. I love his books, recommend and buy them as gifts for those I love. In this podcast however, he tends to cast aside the very stoic values he so passionately writes about. Temperance, one of the five stoic principles, is what you must arm yourself...Read full review »

I don’t mind ads but I really don’t appreciate how the ads are woven into the podcast. I often think Ryan is referring to a theory or concept but then it just glides right into an ad. It’s a shame.

I’ve been accustomed to having my eyes opened by the material on the Daily Stoic, but not like they were today. Today listeners were told - to paraphrase- if you disagree with me, unsubscribe…don’t need ya, don’t want ya, by. So Daily Stoic has my money. Wondery has my money. I’ve lost a few...Read full review »

I love Ryan and his works. I find that he packages up the very deep and intense works of the Stoics and delivers meaningful, and more importantly, useful content to help those who are drawn to the philosophy practice it more effectively. He is prone to failing at what he preaches like we all are....Read full review »

Completely biased extreme woke leftist running this podcast. The very opposite beliefs of a stoic.

Todays pod was powerful and very much appreciated. Strong words to end the message that political violence is wrong and “if you think otherwise you can unsubscribe, don’t need ya.” With all that’s going on in the US today the Daily Stoic keeps me grounded and helps me to focus on the important...Read full review »

The 1/6/23 “don’t join the mob” episode asks for those with differing views to stop listening. While his stoic knowledge and wisdom is insightful, the host is often preachy with his political and cultural views. Often shares his own view as the ideal everyone needs to reach and leaves little room...Read full review »

Echo what a previous review said. I love this podcast, listen to every episode abs love pretty much everything Ryan puts out. It’s had a huge impact on my life. I have been listening to this podcast for a few years. This is one of the best podcast episodes I’ve ever heard. Not just for this show but over all other podcasts. Many of the interviews are EVO self promotion! The lister has to listen through both the host and guests espouse all their qualifications and authors journey to even begin to approach the meat of what they are offering to “YOU” or “I” that warrants our time spent on the pod casts. This question boggles the mind but Ryan attempts to answer it with this latest podcast. Seriously, the entire podcast was an ad. “Here’s 7 minutes of Marcus Aurelius quotes”. I was hoping to give a five star review as I have read Ryan’s books and think they are great, but never listened to his show. So I tried my first one yesterday. Love the short word on Stoicism, however listening to a commercial everyday for a podcast that is less then 4 minutes most days is unbearable.

Ryan brings to life a subject which is more than 2000 years old in a way which makes it relevant for the present. Ryan, I used to love this podcast. For years I would listen every morning. It has evolved into a nonstop self-promotion. I used to love this podcast. The 2-3 minute daily talks were a part of my morning ritual, giving you bite-sized stoic wisdom as you enjoy breakfast.
