Patrick Scores
One of the better all-purpose sports talk shows I've listened to. The content tends to focus on major league (mainly NFL, MLB, and NBA) and college sports (mainly football and basketball) with the occasional digression into the entertainment world or rarer forays into sports such as Premier League Football. Patrick has an engaging interview style (a bit querulous at times, perhaps, but usually done tongue-in cheek). Despite the backing of a major network (though he is affiliated with Sports Illustrated), he gets some of the best-known sports personalities on his show with the occasional Hollywood type thrown in for good measure. He also has a good staff who take part, never to excess, and generally give the show more of a team feel. Finally, for some reason (either by screening or by the type of fans he attracts), he doesn't get the kinds of confrontational, inarticulate listeners that bedevil other shows. Definitely worth a listen.Read full review »
