I learned a lot from this one, and I was also triggered to do some additional research. It strikes the perfect balance between painting a broad picture and serving up some great in-depth analysis. I’m now at episode 18, but I will keep listening, no doubt!

What a wonderful show! Heard about it on one of the three dozen other history podcasts I regularly listen to, and immediately got engrossed in it. Smart, informative, and funny. And there was a reference to Dr Who! Cracked me up in the context of the Dark Ages. Definitely worth a listen.

Halfway between Mike Duncan’s History of Rome and Benjamin Jacob’s Wittenberg to Westphalia—both in chronology and humour—this is a great podcast well worth a listen.
