Give Dave Gorman the Saturday morning slot....Bye-bye Frank.
A small bit of advice for Frank, don’t go away on holiday so soon after starting your stint on Radio. Dave Gorman has done a brilliant job of stand-in, and the producers of the show must be kicking themselves for not choosing him in the first place. The show seems to flow along a lot more easily, and to be honest Dave’s at ease style of banter is perfect for Radio. As for the helpless Gavin (who’s on paternity leave) his stand-in cover Jimmy just about beats him, but only just. He could get better with time. On the reviews page, on Frank’s iTunes podcast, a reviewer posted up a comment expressing her disagreement with nearly all the other reviewers about the multi talented Emily Dean. She especially loves Emily; She writes “How often do you hear a girl on the radio being that sharp and funny” and it’s “Nice to hear a woman with an opinion and a real sense of humour given air space”…Honestly I’ve heard a lot of women given air space time who have a lot more talent, and who have that real sense of humour that Emily Dean so seems to lack. Dave Gorman is funny and needs someone along side him who he can bounce ideas off. And that voice is still so nauseating. Will we hear Gavin being funny again? (Again?) Will they have him back from paternity leave? Will Emily become the next big thing in showbiz? Time will tell. But hey she can always go back to standing in the doorway of GAPS London store, meeting and greeting. Absolute radio…. Give Dave Gorman the Saturday morning slot, and give Frank the pay off. People have put Dave at the top of the podcast list, so we can’t all be wrong about him. I give Dave 5 stars…and the other two co-presenters can scrap for anything else.Read full review »
