“He prescribes a do-it-yourself credit fix program for your life, with a sequence of baby steps to get someone out of credit. However, it is by no means a easy solution - he is extremely dogmatic in his approach and has total conviction with his approach. It is a bit on the extreme end, for instance - No credit is good credit; Say no to credit cards, not even for its convinience or the cash back; SELL IT, sell everything that you have if it will get you out of credite soon.
But I for one, can't accept all his methods - for instance I do use credit cards and cant see any reason why someone should give-up using it just as a payment methold and not for credit.
Also, dont get carried away with his strong following and do everything exactly as he prescribes. He does have quite a bit of conflict-of-interest running amock in his shows. E.g. he wont tell you the best way to protect your credit is to freeze, instead he would ask you to go to his friend zander and get an identify theft protection (you should research first to see what this insurance does and if its even useful for you).
another example is that, no matter where you are with investments - he will ask you to go to mutual fund brokers - because he endorses them under his ELP program. Again, you should seriosly consider fee only advisors before heading off to a broker.
But having said that, his program does warrent a 5 star. To me, if a program could help fix a person's life for good, then the program deserves a 5 star, am pretty sure his program has earned it over and over again.”Read full review »
