“First part of this review will be spoiler free, I’ll warn you when we get to spoilers.
So the story is good, the voice acting was on point. It’s well written and the dialogue feels almost natural. The pace is just right so you never lose interest. It’s not without its problems. They throw a gay love story in for no reason at all and it goes nowhere. The episodes weren’t long enough to care about the relationship they have.
**SPOILERS AHEAD**
So I do have a problem with the story and that’s the ending. When you build characters up only to end their story entirely, it detracts from the overall story. When you let a character survive, you let the listener keep a foot in the door. If a character survives then the listener will be more likely to come back to see how the characters story will progress. Even if you never come back to the series or that character, we can imagine their struggle for survival after the story ends so while killing characters is completely normal, you need to build emotional attachment so the weight is felt when they die. This story unfortunately kills everyone involved. I’ll try it again if there’s a second series but for now i was underwhelmed by the way it ended. Overall I enjoyed the ride but the end fell completely flat”
