The premise and the story itself is super interesting. But oof the acting was just so bad I couldn’t go through with it. With some real and talented actors, this could have been a fantastic piece of entertainment.

Good acting and great production. Four stars because the writing needs a bit of an upgrade to make it more suspenseful. Overall: well done!

Ugh
Is the fact that every male character on the show is self-righteous chauvinistic garbage supposed to be part of the gag, or something? The main character/narrator violates his wife’s consent twice in the first five minutes and later badgers her into “cooperating” and calls it a win, and then he...Read full review »

Really poor acting, not at all convincing. The narrator is ok but the others are cringeworthy. Couldn’t listen beyond episode 1. A poor attempt at something in the same genre as Blood Ties.

Honestly.... I really tried to get into this but all the “conversations” with family and friends just sounded soooo scripted. Just wasn’t my style of podcast.
LoganM1293 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/17/20
The faked Boston accents and the overly dramatic dialogue made me stop listening within 15 mins. “Are you taping me??” and the over enunciation was super annoying.

I thoroughly enjoyed season 1. Looking forward to season 2. Well done!

I would have given this five stars if there was just one season. Unfortunately, I had to downgrade it to three. The second season began with some hope as we are introduced into a new investigation of two people’s’ deaths. As the season continues, it gets confusing trying to understand Dr....Read full review »

A great mystery podcast with a cliffhanger at the end of each episode!
ukelele19 via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 03/11/20
Season one was interesting, well written, and had a good pace. Season 2 is predictable, over produced, and just not interesting. If an episode is 24 minutes long, expect about 14 minutes of dialogue and 10 minutes of sound effects and synthesized music. It’s sadly a waste of time

I really liked the beginning and how it’s being produced. I nestled in to solve the case and then the dialogue hit... The acting was so bad I couldn’t take it. I read the reviews of people who love it and I’m so disappointed. I’m going to give it one more but if the acting doesn’t get better I...Read full review »

It’s hilarious to me when I read some of the reviews from people who are upset that this work isn’t “real”. I supposed they’ll be extremely disappointed as well when they pick up work by a fellow named Poe, or Conan Doyle. <<shrug>> If you go along for the ride and try not to guess...Read full review »

It’s amazing how foolish all these people who gave this podcast 1 star because it sounded “too scripted” There is great voice acting, intriguing storylines and very realistic. I’m a big fan of Dan Zapula from the NoSleep podcast. I knew his other work would be top notch!
Thecrster via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/25/19
The benefit true crime stories have is that they can have an anticlimactic ending, or what seems to be a sloppy storyline- because it’s true crime and life is never neatly written. This story should not be afforded that luxury. What the heck? An entire episode about how Melissa grew up with an...Read full review »

I was really enjoying this show until episode 6. Why the need to say F#%+ Jesus Christ or Jesus on the F#%^* cross? Why be so nasty and crude. I’m not listening to this trash anymore.

I wanted to like it, but it tries too hard to be “Serial” but to have an ending. There is zero reason to care for any of the characters in the podcast. Waste of time. This is easily the worst podcast I’ve ever listened too. Don’t waste you’re time.
Gaveroche via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/07/18
Like I said...well produced. Great concept! Good story. The huge problem tho, is that the actress who plays Rachel is so...truly AWFUL that you aren't able to keep on with the suspended disbelief that's absolutely necessary for this to work... Was she a friend of his...to be cast in the...Read full review »

I came across this serial by chance and I stayed up till 3 am this morning listening to episode after episode. The story drew me in and the voice performances are amazing, especially the central character. Definitely worth losing sleep over. I really don’t want this to end.

The premise was very interesting and for the first half it was very riveting but unfortunately the payoff didn't work for me. It was a let down and the last episode felt too moralizing. This podcast is full of talented voice actors and writers! So many if these folks are on other podcasts I love. Dan Zappulla has knocked it out of the park with this lineup. Update: The first season has been a stunner. Great detail, great dialogue, great writing. Great work, Dan!
