One-sided and monotone
Interesting issues covered poorly, usually only having one interviewee that comes down on one side of an issue, e.g. 20 minutes with an activist condemning a comedian of hate speech, 0 minutes on the defense view. This makes it less like informative journalism, more like a one sided editorial argument. Disappointing, especially from an outlet that wants to be a paper of record. Also why do Canadian radio/ podcast journalists adopt such a bland monotone? It’s like the SNL skit about NPR. We’re more dynamic than this.

An enjoyable Canadian focused podcast. I like Tamara the host as well - a calm presence who lets the guests offer their expertise.
