I want to like this podcast.
I found this podcast because they started following me on Instagram a while back. At first I was super excited, I've been going thru a re-evaluation of my faith & any material available I want to snatch up. However, the few episodes I have listened to seem to hold a tone of "we're doing this better than the other podcasters out there." That may not be their heart but it keeps coming across as such. Along with that, my biggest criticism would be that there doesn't seem to be a ton of meaty material in the episodes. Meaning, it feels like the episodes consist of them rehashing their stories (which I'm not saying isn't valuable) & saying how this or that book completely shifted their perspective. (Again, not saying that isn't valid.) There just doesn't seem to be a ton of ideas being presented in the content. I hope anyone reading this can hear sincerity in this. I'm not trying be a jerk. I want to like this podcast & I'm sure these are great dudes in person, but to present yourself as doing something revolutionary & discrediting those who have come before seems like a low blow to me.Read full review »

Just like the title indicates, this is the best podcast I’ve listened to, to date. At first I was very hesitant to listen to a podcast by Christians because I have been badly burned from religiosity in my Christian upbringing so you could say I have PTSD from that experience. However, these guys,...Read full review »

John and Adam have a lot of energy and authenticity. Their instant success has come not just because they have great guests, good topics, and "keep it real", but also because they create space for those in a deconstruction or reconstruction season of life. This normal part of spiritual...Read full review »
