This podcast was pretty abysmal. I listened to all of them through season 3. It was hard to follow. There were some flashes of brilliance throughout, but season 3 sucked. I wonder if it will be back?

Archive 81 plus a large dose of humour, wonderful stuff

I liked the storyline of the whole thing. I listened to all of the episodes and for the most part enjoyed them. I found the story enjoyable, the acting was decent, and I somewhat hope there’s more eventually… but the constant blaming of capitalism on EVERYTHING is exhausting. To the creators: ...Read full review »

Really hopeful they do a Second season

Fun audio drama that is exciting as well as humorous. Plus, at nine episodes, doesn’t overstay its welcome. Great for a binge.

I dig the concept. The whole feel is similar to FEAR meets fallout.

Interesting story but the dialogue and acting range from not great to annoying, and the characters are predictable.

I really have enjoyed this podcast. I even enjoyed how it ended...(not trying to spoil here) except I would have appreciated a “years later...” detail to wrap up what happened, or maybe an accompanying story about the experiments that happened. Thanks for the story!

Story could have been good, but the voice acting was quite crappy, too much hard panning, and little to like about the characters. Forced dialogue to the extreme.

Kinda sad I didn’t like this. I listened to every episode hoping the archive 81 crew would give me something better than it ended up being. It was hard to enjoy a story in which every character is remarkably annoying. None of them had hardly any redeeming qualities and the constant...Read full review »

A part of me admits that I wanted to see if this was part of the fallout universe. It’s not but still give it a try

While this is not as good as the supreme Archive 81, it is still a pretty amazing short piece. It would be lovely if they extended it sometime, but it does work just as it is.

I really love this story. What more can I say?
MosaltovMel via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/22/19
The story is so interesting, and I feel like the idea could really go somewhere with some better writing. The dialogue is just so cheesy it takes away from everything. The audio design and quality is top notch, which is why it’s worth a listen, just wish the writing would support the ideas.

Juvenile. Made it through one episode and was embarrassed that I did.

I think I listened through half of episode four before giving up. It started off pretty interesting, but I just felt annoyed by the characters and the story didn’t hold my attention. Definitely check out Archive 81 though, I instantly loved that one.

Random bits of “dramatic sound effects” seriously kill your ears when listening to this podcast

The Deep Vault is another brilliant podcast from Dead Signals, the makers of Archive 81. The voice actors are great; the story is a fascinating and gripping rabbit hole of sci-fi intrigue; and the production quality is top notch. This audio drama is a must-listen for fans of Archive 81 as well as...Read full review »

The preface of this podcast is astounding. I was so excited to listen after reading the baseline for what to expect throughout the series. I couldnt get through episode one without taking two or three breaks to stop and listent to something else. The sound bits are loud and exagerated. The...Read full review »

Good special effects sounds, too much nonsensical cursing, unnecessary injection of social issues. Ok for a short mini-series. Darkest Night is a lot better.

It’s pretty awful. Every character is so one dimensional, I almost feel like it’s supposed to be a sci-fi spoof. The writing and lines are bad, and the one dimensional characters are just annoying. And while I know it’s an audio medium...having the characters spend 5 minutes saying “what do we...Read full review »

Annoying characters, poor story quality, and political views equivalent to a 6 year old mindless mimicking bits and pieces of over heard conversations.

I discovered The Deep Vault after listening to the great first season of Archive 81 and was certainly not disappointed by what I found! This is a great mini-series :)

The only thing Carson knows how to say is go**amn and he says it sometimes multiple times a sentence. The acting is stiff, script tries too hard with not enough time. Didn’t find any of the characters likable or interesting. Sound quality was good.
badfast00 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/15/18
Story is so-so with sometimes confusing elements, acting and dialogue could be more compelling and characters seem shallow. Not bad, but I was hoping for better 😒

Why do people come home from a hard day at work and subject themselves to more psychological stress by watching a television program chock full of killing, threats, tension and sadism? Some don’t. They turn on the radio, and somehow instead of a show on Plato they get a whiff of some of this good...Read full review »
