Description
In this episode, we speak with Robin Dreeke, a former FBI agent and expert in the field of interpersonal communication and behaviour analysis.
With over 28 years of experience in the FBI, Dreeke rose to the rank of Special Agent in Charge of the Counterintelligence Division's Behavioural Analysis Program.
We chat with Dreeke about his career path, the day-to-day life of an FBI special agent, and his experience working in New York City during 9/11. Dreeke also sheds light on counterintelligence and the behavioural analysis program, and shares his techniques for gaining someone's trust, including the importance of nonverbal communication and the suspension of ego.
We discuss the common misconceptions and bad habits people have when it comes to communicating, as well as the symptoms of being manipulated. Dreeke also draws comparisons between stand-up comedy and negotiation, and stresses the importance of telling the truth in his work.
Finally, Dreeke offers tips for everyday people to train their communication skills, including active listening and reading body language. Tune in to learn from an expert in communication and behaviour analysis.
