Critical issues, serious host
This podcast usually offers informed discussion of the essential political, economic, and social crises facing the U.S. Analysis is from a Left perspective, and is strongest when the guests are academics with deep knowledge of a particular subject area. Unfortunately the episodes are less insightful when the guests are journalists, many of them young, lacking the intellectual heft of the academic guests. 5 star rating for academic interviews, 2.5 stars for journalists.
