Outstanding guests and interviews
The show really is about society, culture, political economy, history and how they all connect. For example, the interview on December 13, 2017 with Barbara Fields and Karen Fields are incredible. They discuss their essay collection called Racecraft: The Soul of Inequality in American Life. I'd never heard of these women before. Then on December 19 Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor talks about the Combahee River Collective of the seventies. I didn't know who they were either. But now I do and so should you. Two of them invented the term "identity politics" and what they meant is not what people think it means now. Then Frances Fox-Piven in February. And then...and then...it's one great guest after another. This is smart lefty discussion to take you beyond dopey freshman hippie rambling.Read full review »

More reviews of The Dig
I just discovered this podcast and it’s right up my alley. the host and guests were saying so many of the things I’ve been thinking about this election, and they were thoughtful and well-informed commentators. hope they make more episodes!

Daniel Denvir is an incredible interviewer, bringing out the best in his guests, who are themselves phenomenal. Great for all those seeking to understand the world as it is, and how to change it for the better.
