“I came across Derrick Story through his first edition of the "Digital Photography Pocket Guide" a very handy little book written just for me when I was just coming back the photography through digital. It covered a wide range of topics from point & shoots to DSLRs and how to use them. It was straight forward, well organized, the topics were sized to be easily digestible, and the style was breezy, friendly, and upbeat. Read those last two sentences again and you have this show in a nutshell. While not every topic is directed at my interests there is nearly always something of interest to me. And he serves it up with real enthusiasm and manages to do it without the Canon/Nikon, Apple/PC, Lightroom/Aperture bs. And look it's only about 30 minutes. No rambling. Just good accurate info. I have enjoyed listening to him and seeing him really grow into this project and I appreciate his commitment. And he does it without the big shot attitude and name dropping that is so prevalent with many of the photog notaries. And if I lived nearer I go to any workshop he organized.”Read full review »
