“This is my least favorite Disneyland podcast, mainly because it's not a Disneyland podcast. I only listen to it when I've already listened to all my other shows and I need something to listen to.
They upload multiple episodes a week, and I thought part of the reason for that was so they could focus on Disneyland for one show and talk about other topics for the others. Wrong.
During the "Disneyland news" episode every week, they talk about topics completely unrelated to Disney. This should really be called the "California Attractions Podcast" as they talk about anything and everything they feel like: SeaWorld, Knott's Berry Farm, The Discovery Cube, Universal Studios, the Walt Disney Family Museum, the Queen Mary, various other museums and attractions that don't even have a tie to Disney at all...you get the idea.
They have various segments including "news" and "round table rapid fire" which are really the same. And there's nothing "rapid" about it. They read ENTIRE press releases word for word very often. They then sit there and forget details and then say "hold on while I look it up." (I can Google things for myself quicker than this "rapid fire.") They also often report things that are inaccurate.
Their "Disneyland news" is often not parks & resorts news, but instead a discussion of In-N-Out, an entire press release about a non-Disney tourist attraction hours away, or another reminder for the 14th time to sign up for Coasting for Kids, which is an event that has nothing to do with Disneyland, mind you.
The audio is poor, they don't mute their microphones when they aren't talking so you listen to them clicking things or their phones going off, and they talk over each other.
This could be trimmed down to a 5-10 minute show once a week and it might be much better.”Read full review »
