The military were brought in to assist overstretched police in ensuring that people arriving from overseas stayed in their hotels during the required quarantine period so they didn’t infect the local population. It was about resourcing and containment not government overreach.
What a shame he didn’t check his facts before expressing an opinion, unlike his guest Michael Lewis who is always reasonable and thoughtful and well informed.”
