“I have loved listening to this podcast over the holidays when I finally had the strength to take control of the legal case I am embroiled in and prepare to for my second mediation. What great conservations, knowledgeable, focused and supportive. I love Laura and Lyn’s passion for exposing the breadth of domestic violence definition and the impact cohesive control has on family, including on-going control over (adult) children. I have spent an enormous amount of money defending my position and the rights and entitlements of my kids. These discussions have given me hope that the family court and associated legislation can support my application, and I am hopeful that, should certain behaviour continue that a trial will be worthwhile, not from a financial point of view, or as a way to spend the next 12 months, but in exposing the impact the covert cohesive control and contribute to case law that protects families from on-going abuse.
