“I've been to Paris about a dozen times in the last 10 years and have always worked hard to speak well and not look too obiously American. Although I've learned some secrets I didn't know from listening and I've disagreed with some of the "best of" recommendations (I guess a little of the French have rubbed off on me) my biggest take away is it's OK to hang out in France but not always with the French. I have made some good friends in France but most of them are not French. Thanks for letting me hang out with your expat netwwork of friends and colleages a half hour a week.
