“This is a truly excellent podcast. I subscribed expecting a podcast on life in the USSR from a Latvian point of view. Instead, Kristaps delves into the history of all soviet states and European soviet satellites, discusses issues facing these states today, and he does so while weaving humor and sorrow together in a way that causes the listener to experience some complex emotions. This is a beautiful podcast.”
