Wonderful Stories that Don't Get Told (in English)
A very fascinating and exciting podcast sharing stories from the USSR. I'm glad I stumbled across this podcast because many of the stories Kristaps tells would never otherwise be available to me, either due to obscurity, the language barrier, or both. There were some audio and accent issues at first, but that's to be expected from a new podcaster it's been great to see the host develop his podcasting ability. It is more than worth the trouble to listen to every podcast. I'm really glad I found this podcast because Kristaps gives some great perspective from the Eastern Border.Read full review »

Kristaps does something I haven't seen anywhere else. He collects anecdotes from people and their experiences in the USSR. Give it a listen. I think you'll like it.Read full review »

I have been looking for this information for 10 years. I am so glad to find what life was like in the Soviet Union from the prospective of normal citizens. I love the Soviet jokes! Please do not lose that accent it make the show.

I needed something other than rolling sports radio to listen at work. Found this podcast. Kristaps work in telling the story of the USSR of someone who actually lives in the region is amazing, interesting, sometimes fun, sometimes sad but always informative. Highly recommended
