“I love this podcast. It’s an interesting subject and it’s written and narrated by Ben Reiter, a Sports Illustrated columnist. First rate! I did want to mention, The question is asked by a few people. “Why did the Astros keep stealing signs as they coasted to a division win? Why did they continue to steal signs well into a game when the were blowing out an opponent?’ Its the money. Player salaries hinge on stats. Over a season, a player with 170 hits in 600 army bats hits .283. Respectable. Get just 10 more hits, over the entire season, and you’re batting .300! Could make a big difference in a solid player’s career earnings. It’s always “the money”.”
