A Master's Degree in Energy, 50 Minutes at a Time
This is my all-time favorite energy industry podcast, and second in my general listening queue only to Stuff You Should Know. In fact, if you work in the clean energy, home-performance, environmental policy or energy management sectors (or if you would LIKE to), this is absolutely the stuff you should know. Stephen Lacey does an outstanding job of keeping the show informative and light on its feet, no small task considering the bench of consistently heavy hitters invited on as guests. As co-hosts, Katherine Hamilton and Jigar Shah really round out the depth of insight and charm that have become the hallmark of the show, even -- especially? -- when their perspectives are at odds. I really enjoyed the juxtaposition of listening to these guys on my recent cross-country roadtrip as I passed new wind farms, convoys of semi-trucks carrying gargantuan turbine blades, and solar arrays in places I would have never expected to see them a decade ago. For context, clarity, and a sense of camaraderie in a world that still doesn't quite understand all this stuff, the Energy Gang is hard to beat.Read full review »
