“The general premise of focusing a story about the culture of football violence is a good idea. Sadly there isn’t a story, or any attempt to marry the views of the people who see it as a calling or a way of life to the major issues it causes themselves, society, victims of this kind of violent culture or reasons that people do it.
It could of looked at social, phycological, economic, or societal reasons people choose this behaviour. Instead it is a long a tedious series of interviews but a bloke who has no link to this violent culture itself but has listened to too many episodes of Serial constantly ask people “but wasn’t it good when you used to beat people up?””
