“I had heard Eric Metaxas speak before and thought he was thoughtful and intelligent. Then, I began to follow him on Twitter and the red flags began to pop up. He used to often make rather crass and hurtful jokes. When questioned or pushed back on he plays the victim. But I wanted to listen to some of the interviews and the truth was revealed. He has a terrible posture towards criticism which explains his endorsement of David Barton, Ann Coulter, and Donald Trump. He claims to be a Christian but in the podcast he seems shallow and immature. A little digging on Google and you find the number of Christian professors that have difficulty with his work and writings. Anyway, the podcast isn't for me. I recommend the Christian Humanist, Ask Science Mike, and the Rob Bell Show for a thoughtful, approach to Christianity. Metaxas is like Michael Savage for Christians. A small percentage of people will like the show, but most rational people will find edification elsewhere.”Read full review »
