I am so sorry to hear that the podcast (and column) will be ending! A fond farewell. Our household will miss the podcast very, very much!

It's really tacky and detracts from the edification provided by the other content in the podcast. So, now, in a 10 minute podcast, you're going to make us suffer through a minute of a tacky song for a minute?Read full review »

I've been a fan of this podcast for several years and listened to every episode, but I just removed it. The advertising is just too painful. I didn't time it, but it could easily be half the time. There is an ad at the start and another in the middle, before the second letter. The ads...Read full review »

This is a perfect podcast. It is the perfect length - does not require a half-hour investment, but is long enough to provoke thought and engage the listener. The mix of ethics, humor and advice is perfectly balanced, and seasoned with just a touch of snark. The readers of the letters are a...Read full review »

great program - one of my favorites - much better than reading the column!

I like the content and style of Mr. Cohen's podcast. I do not like the fact that it's about 50% advertisement.Read full review »

This podcast makes me laugh! I like Randy Cohen's vocabulary, wit, class and sense. I especially like how he says "The Ethicist". Thank you.Read full review »

It's a really interesting concept but I really can't get past the way the host over-enunciates 'the ethicist'. Not only that but he says it many times over. It's distracting to the point of annoyance and detracts from the subject matter.Read full review »

I find this podcast to be absolutely charming. I can't see anyone complaining about his voice being monotonous. It gives the feeling of raw objectivity and Is anything but boring. And the ad in the middle is short and tasteful. Well done NYTRead full review »

I eagerly anticipate the four and a half minutes of well-written, well-spoken thinking from Randy Cohen. I'm very disappointed, therefore, to hear his trademark transition from the last word of his first response to "Letter number two:" interrupted by Audible's new ad. A...Read full review »

Sometimes gives great advice, sometimes gives stupid advice. A good column to read and think about, but here Cohen just monotonously reads his Q and As and it's a bit boring. Would be much better if Cohen were talking to the people directly and getting feedback from them like a typical...Read full review »

I only wish that it were longer. More Randy Cohen! His answers to ethical quandaries are thoughtful yet slyly humorous. I will admit that my favorite part each week is Mr. Cohen's closing lines. They never fail to make me laugh. I need more Randy Cohen in my life.Read full review »

I was so impressed with the episodes I downloaded just to give this podcast a shot - it's definitely staying on my subscription list. I'm bummed there isn't a huge list of episodes for me to download and devour one right after the other.Read full review »

This is much too preachy to be enjoyable on a regular basis. You can almost hear the smug grin on the host's face. Unsubscribing.Read full review »

This podcast is intriguing and thought-provoking. I often stop the podcast to gather my thoughts after the situation is presented and then continuing only dwelling upon my reaction. One of the few podcasts I recommend to others.

The Ethicist addresses with a variety of ethical quandries, submitted to him in letter form, thoughtfully, perceptively, and with wit and good grace. He is always direct, but never condescending -- a fun and thought-provoking podcast. My only complaint is that it's too short.Read full review »

Questions written to Randy Cohen at the NY Times concerning ethical issues, answered in Randy's own unique witty (but ethical) style. Unfortunately, doesn't last more than 5 minutes, it could do with being longer. Is it ethical to give us a good show like this but that is so short???Read full review »

I'm always happy when a new episode of The Ethicist turns up on my playlist. He gives a way of looking at situations - both common and uncommon - that I don't necessarily always agree with, but do give me a new perspective to things.Read full review »

Randy Cohen has the uncanny ability to turn a potentially boring advice column into a thought provoking learning experience, all while making me giggle. (He also has a great story at The Moth.)

A guy from the "Old Grey Lady" talking about ethics when his very own newspaper lacks what this podcast is talking about. I was really disappointed with this podcast. The man expresses opinions as though they are absolute truths. I was hoping this would be more thought provoking and less preachy. Why do I want to listen to this clown preach? From my perspective, I have better things to do with my time.

With wisdom and humor Mr. Cohen helps clarify the sometimes murky world of being an ethical person. A great podcast, well-done!
