This is a great 80's nostalgia podcast! The subjects are really on point and well researched! The subjects he choses are so on point I really wish that he would do longer form podcasts on the subjects (example: the fall of Kodak, the Muppet Show) 30 minutes or so is just too quick for some...Read full review »

I couldn’t even make it through one episode. Dull.

I never grew up in the 80’s or 90’s, and it makes me jealous of how things are now compared to what they where then

I grew up during this time. I’m a 60’s kid. So this show is awesome. Love it.

The best nostalgic podcast. As someone obsessed with the 80s that wasn’t born even close to the decade I get to get a glimpse into life and pop culture in the decade.

Hi Jamie, I have really enjoyed listening to your program! Of course, you hooked me with the work I did with Jim and our amazing magic team! Loved the Muppet Babies episode! Hearing all of my friends names, and even some comments from Katie! I started working with Jim in 1980 and was with him...Read full review »

I love hearing about arguably the best decade of all time. It’s a straight up, to-the-point show with no filler. I think the host could be less robotic, and should sound like he actually enjoys what he’s doing. Otherwise, this is close to perfect as a nostalgia show can be.

Hey Sir! Your show is awesome. It takes me back! But what about the coolest 80’s prime time TV?! A-Team Knightrider Air Wolf Auto man V- the lizard aliens who peels their faces off …and you missed these movies! Imagine a podcast in which content is an audible listicle and you have this. The nature of essentially reading lists is the cadence of this content is delivered in 2 sentence chunks. Research is also questionable at best.

If you’re into having memories from your childhood or teenage years, triggered, this is a podcast for you. The host details, a wide variety of events, products, and notable media from the 1980s. Wicked awesome!

Please turn off the background Muzak, it’s so distracting. It would be a perfect podcast without it.

After 100+- episodes I just couldn’t listen anymore. His tone and delivery sounds so scripted and mundane. His push for patreon for 2 minutes on every episodes was too much and desperate.

Very interesting/entertaining! I was very young when the 80’s ended, so this podcast is teaching me some things I never knew. Also, I love when Jamie says “Don’t you dare miss it!” ❤️

I’m a GenXer and all of these casts help me remember things I may have forgotten. Loads of fun. Jamie is a great host and speaker. So happy I found this cast.

This is the first podcast review I’ve ever written, but I can’t stop binging this show. I imagine this series is to children of the 80s what Jean Shepard (A Christmas Story) felt like to kids of the 40s and 50s.

I was 15 in 1980. From 15 to 25 the 80’s were my decade. Jamie does a terrific job of research and he just keeps coming up with topics! It really was an incredible decade. Best of all, anybody can get something from it. The 80’s started so much. Atari to X Box. Movie franchises that are...Read full review »

I loved this episode. Thanks so much. It’s a perfect blend of nostalgia with well researched facts and context. Your Shawshank Redemption sign off at the end was a particularly nice touch, well done. As usual, kudos.

Host Jamie does a fantastic job of taking us kids who grew up in the 80s down memory lane. I look forward to Wednesdays so I can listen to the next episode. One suggestion: Please turn up the volume of the audio clips. They are very quiet compared to Jamie’s voice. 👍🏼

Sorry, this review is simplistic … this podcast is outstanding. The host outlines a key concept in 25-35 mins with data, recollection, and passion. It’s terrific. Please join me in listening.

This is such a great pod. Jamie does a bang up job. Feels like he is telling us stuff during lunch in the caf. Really enjoy... but, Smurfs should have made Cartoon Top10 😝 Thanks for the sentimental memories.

I was born in 1974 so this podcast speaks to me. I can’t relate to some of the topics because I lived in the UK until 1987 but I still listen anyway because I love learning more about stuff. Plus I tell my hubby about what I learned - he was 11 in 1980 so knows all about Wrestlemania & GI Joe...Read full review »

I was born in 1984 and I am a huge fan of nostalgia. This podcast hits all of the feels - touching on toys, television, movies, and other subjects that bring the listener right back into the 80’s. Awesome content. Five stars.

What a great podcast, the commentary is well done and the information is well researched. I enjoyed the 80’S as a young adult and the extra information about the subjects sometimes surprises me and adds depth to what I remember. Keep up the good work.
