I found this to listen to the Lewis and Clark story after visiting Fort Clatsop in oregon and finished all 8 parts on my trip home. This podcast is so well written and presented, interesting and entertaining. I’m hooked!

So well researched and presented, this is one of the best history podcasts I’ve encountered. I came for the doomed polar expeditions and stayed for everything else.

Fantastic podcast. Researched in depth and spoken without bias. I particularly loved the Burke and Wills (Aussie bias) series, the Louis and Clarke and the Hernan Cortez series. Fascinating.

This podcast is full of fascinating stories, very well told. It’s been a blast learning about the voyages of obscure explorers and learning more about famous ones. The podcaster knows how to keep it conversational and detailed without getting dry. Thank you and please keep up the great work!

Love the pod! Exploration stories are something not even fiction could make up. Would you ever think of doing Teddy Roosevelt’s trip down the Amazon? You’ve told stories I’ve never even thought of as explorer stories until I heard them on your pod and I think this story kind of has that vibe. Try...Read full review »
