Smart, knowledgeable, and well-written
This podcast is perfectly pitched: as a newly minted Ph.D., Mr. Wyman knows the latest scholarship, but he's also a gifted interpreter for a popular audience. I also appreciate the fact that he feels free to take sides in debates, and offer his own interpretation, instead of just sticking with the common wisdom on any given topic. I also like his technique of using lightly fictionalized figures to evoke the period fromthe POV of someone who lived it. Great stuff. I'm learning a lot.Read full review »
