A must for those with/support others with ADD/ADHD
Here's the short version of the review: These are short, value-packed shows that will give anyone with (or those supporting others with) ADD/ADHD a new and powerful outlook on this condition. Gobble up everything Peter puts out, it will change your life for the better. Now the longer version: For most of my life I was skeptical of the whole diagnosis of ADD/ADHD, thinking it was mostly an excuse of parents or a scam of college students to get prescription meds. Thinking it was not a thing caused me to ignore all of the symptoms I had, and I ended up getting diagnosed as a 40-something adult. It put me into a bit of a tailspin, because everything you hear in the media is negative, focused on what's wrong with you. Before this podcast even started, Peter was kind enough to provide some very good guidance to me on what worked for him and how to look at it, which helped me immensely. This podcast is even better, because you hear from successful people how they used it to their advantage. Now I see those advantages all around me, and how much quicker I'm able to understand things while the rest of the world just seems in slow motion. This new mentality has completely changed the way I parent my son, who also has ADHD, because I have better insight into what engages and motivates him. We need more people like Peter spreading the message that this isn't a disorder at all, it's a huge gift that we need to use to our advantage. Stop treating kids as distractions and making them feel stupid because they can't sit in a chair for 8 hours a day and let's see what incredible things they come up with. Thank you Peter for putting such an amazing resource out there!Read full review »

Peter Shankman is a walking billboard of what can happen when you take ADD and look at it as a gift and not as a disability. Anyone who has ADD or has someone with ADD in their life needs to listen to this podcast. Thank you Peter for leading the way!!!

This podcast can give hopes and tools, and it does! But lengthy introductions that often comes twice together with an awful jingle... and then a chaotic interview where you kind of just get an introduction to the person talking. After a few episodes it becomes frustrating hearing Peter, the...Read full review »
