Calm and Informative
The Federalist and its redoubatble staff including Ben Domenich, Mollie Hemingway, David Harsanyi is the first place I go every day for reasoned discussion of today's political and social issues. The tone is conversational, somewhat muted at times, almost like listening to Public Radio. They clearly have a point of view, try to see both sides of issues, and treat those they disagree with the utmost of respect. Ben had a young Bernie suporter on and she was so painfully uninformed you could hear the pity in his voice as he helped her walk through her own arguments. He could have clobbered he but didn't. I like that approach. Hell, I'm 66 years old. I want to hear the New Voices, New Ideas. I don't want to be shouted to or patronized. And I don't want go be just always agreed with. Downside? It's only an hour a day. Oh, and don't forget to sign up for the Transom, Ben Domenech's E mail Newsletter. Everything I said about the podcast goes for the Newsletter.Read full review »
