I used to love this podcast for all the depth and analysis it gave. I learnt a lot about film here. But in the last couple of years it has become quite militant feminist. Barely a week goes by without a woman complaining about how bad the film industry is for women...and men are to blame.
For eg, the other week Julie Delphy was on complaining that she couldn't get her latest creative gem made because a man wouldn't finance it for her. He wouldn't finance it because she was a women (not because it was a bad investment, obviously). Of course, the interviewer didn't ask why Julie couldn't simply find a women to finance this surefire winner...or, God forbid, finance it herself.”Read full review »
