A bit disappointed but still worth the listen
I was a bit disappointed in this podcast, I do feel they do a fairly good job of tracking the growth of scepticism and hate on conservative radio. So many figures in this movment are absolutely ridiculous but I feel they fell short in actually explaining the growth of this movement into a significant portion of the population in the western world. The host was at times dismissive of truly weird things like world and business leaders meeting in the redwoods for some kind of cult rituals and even the Clintons connection to Jeffrey Epstein’s island. I feel like dismissing these apparently real Events and clumping them with all the other nonsense that conspiracy theorist are spouting, did a disservice to those of us who are truly trying to understand what is happening in our world. In fact at some level I feel they are not even trying to speak to people in the middle or slightly to the right and in the end they’re just preaching to the choir. For all the good work they did it’s their tone or attitude or even the use of humour about things that frankly aren’t even funny anymore as we see our nations descend into polarization
