Dry, dull, wordy academia, when one was led to expect vibrant story telling
One is lead to expect story telling: instead one gets dull waffle by presenters who are attempting to be academic and erudite about stories that they do even tell..I apologise if I have missed the point or stumbled by chance across the only poor episodes. I only managed to listen to three ,all of them ponderous and dull. Episode 1 is tropical;; we were told 20 or more times.how fascinating and interesting was the subject, a newly emerging folklore figure, but not a single interesting, fascinating or even memorable comment was made. The co-presenter then had the gall to ask where one could read or hear more, which gave his colleague the chance to launch into a litany of her own articles and future publications.
