Really good and not too good in a good way
I love this podcast. Heard about it on Robcast, and didn't know either of them (Peter or Elliot) previously. I always leave an episode feeling more awake to and less afraid of life (and myself). I think that's what the "good news" is supposed to feel like, which makes the title even better :). I think their personalities and their "that makes me think of" nature of conversation helps it all to breathe. It feels like a podcast version of Leonard Cohen's song "The Traitor," which Cohen said is about "that feeling we had about some mission we were mandated to fulfill... and being unable to fulfill it... and then coming to understand that the real mandate was not to fulfil it, and that the deeper courage was to stand guiltless in the predicament in which you found yourself." In other words: this podcast is really good, and not too good in a good way. I am more moblized than paralyzed after listening.Read full review »

The combination of comedy and philosophy is wonderful. Comedy is such an incisive art form, and philosophy is made so much more engaging by this approach. I always learn something from this show and find some new idea to explore.

I am just a person with a lot of questions about life and why we do the things we do. This podcast is showing me that, in iteslf, is what living is and answers are overrated. Awesome!

I’ve love the conversations you guys have but, if I hear Elliott say that something is “fun and cool” again I’m gonna blow my brains out Get a new phrase bud
