… the Maggie Haberman of the Football Press Box, returned 12 January following weeks of “vacation (hiding) after his owner, Cristiano El Punko, took the MbS Sportswashing Bath and fled to the Bonesaw League. For months, Access Gabbie vowed repeatedly, on this pod and ESPNFC, that Cristiano El...Read full review »

Gab! Stop counting other people’s money and constantly tell people to make less money. You weirdo

An awesome podcast for football fans in North America where you can listen to a no-nonsense post-match analysis and behind the scenes stories — only Gab Marcotti and Julien Laurens can deliver. This is your one-stop-shop for all things football. Glad to know also one of the hosts is an Azzurri...Read full review »

Enjoyed the show since it’s inception. Marcotti is underrated imo. However, there’s been a noticeable high pitch frequency underlying the last couple episodes that’s miserable to listen to. Hope you guys have an engineer that can take a look.

There’s this annoying hospital bed ICU ecg type beep in the background of all episodes. Please fix it. Everything else is great

Most informative soccer pod out on an American platform. Both hosts are great.

I’ve previously enjoyed Gab’s input and I’m a big fan of Jules, and the latter is wherein the problem lies for me - Gab just seems to dominate the conversations and Jules seems to be frequently sidelined. Ultimately a disappointment for me.

Marcotti’s fat-man’s voice tenor combined with his smugness and his occasional putting-on airs is just way too much to bear. There’s a long line of pompous pundits. He’s just another one.

Gab and Jules forever. Two icons of sports journalism, so much insight.

Just a god awful show, similar to Gab’s other Series Awesome failure. A show with two people with only one spewing nonsense. No insight and nothing worth listening too. Just another show with poor ESPN personalities.

Love the show, but Gab, you need to recognize when your opinion might be wrong, or your co-host(s) opinion is better. You gotta start acknowledging the good points made by others on the show. You might be the smartest in the room, but that doesn’t make your opinions better than your compatriots....Read full review »

Mostly opinion and muppets for ESPN.

The fawning over players who have been convicted crimes “Karim the dream” is said often is extremely grating. It also also possibly even more smug than the totally football show, which is saying something. Gab and Jules undoubtedly know a lot about football but my goodness it’s got massive downsides
trolltoll1 via Apple Podcasts · Germany · 03/04/22
Jules is always worth listening to. Any credibility Marcotti has however goes out the window when he uses the American football term “offsides” instead of “offside”. I’m embarrassed for him.

Occasional disagreement, but mainly just 90% facts spoken. These two know their football!

I love football and the Gab and Juls podcast is a great way to enjoy and receive all the latest scores, headlines, and some in depth discussions about important topics and going-ons of the soccer world. It’s not long, and gets straight to the point. One of my fav podcasts for sure
Hassanfardoun via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/27/22
The only football podcast I listen to. Gab and Juls know their stuff and are on a different level to the Sunday Supplement lot that are on the other football podcasts. This podcast is for those of us who were reading World Soccer Magazine whilst our friends were still reading Match and Shoot.

Juls is unbearable. Vaccine fascist.

I’ve been listing to these two since the early 2010’s and from The Game podcast from The Times. Great insight and opinions. Easy to listen to. Top class!

This had been a great podcast to listen too it is definitely in my top 5.for advice I would say they need more extra footballers on it.but everything else is perfect

I love listening to this podcast twice a week but gab needs to stop interrupting guests & juls especially! Gab can be very annoying at times, he should let juls host. He’s a lot more level headed compared to gab. I normally would give this 5 star but gab is really that bad at podcasting, he...Read full review »

Gab’s takes are literally laughable. Guy is clueless. Not sure he’s ever kicked a football before

Decent pod bar the repeated digs at the British. For example, referencing “little Englanders” and “little island” etc etc. #BeKindnotJealous

Calm down chaps. I’m a United fan and I don’t give a monkeys what you have to say about my club. Just stop saying stupid things about us the supporters!

Listening to these two super-knowledgeable, engaging, and thoughtful guys is the best way to keep up on global soccer. This biweekly podcast is the best football pod out there, period. Gab Marcotti and Julien Laurens are fun, funny, and know an amazing amount of both history, the big European leagues and their differences, players seemingly from everywhere, and the details of the game. Refreshing because it’s not...Read full review »
