Not a bad start, but why be mean?
Well, I have generally liked Mike Pesca on NPR and other Slate podcasts. He has an interesting point of view, is usually funny, and is always insightful. On the first episode of The Gist, he is in good form, though still working out what his new show is like. But then, in his discussion on the recent Supreme Court case regarding prayer in Greece, NY, he makes these mocking comments towards the Wiccan religion. Come now, Mike--why take pot-shots at a minority religion? Why be mean? If that is what you do while solo, I'll have to pass on your podcast.Read full review »

I was skeptical. Love Mike (can I call you Mike?) on Hang Up and Listen. But could he carry a podcast solo? Yes he can. It is funny, it is informative and he is a great interviewer.
