Excellent RPG cast (and podcast)
I'm not sure if it is the quality of roleplaying or the quality of the editing, but this is a very well done podcast. The game master is excellent at weaving a story and the players are equally adept at taking it to the next level. The pacing is very good but the story takes precedence over just moving from one fight to the next. If you like RPGs for the fights, it might sound boring, but the voices, the meta-conversations, the stories, the humor (mature, but not R, and not digressing to sexual humor to minor for low quality laugh ore, so to speak), and the intrigue are great. And when fights do break out the fun picks up even more. I already mentioned the voice acting, and it gets double mention because it is great, but the interaction between players fun and always positive, even when--especially when--the going gets tough. You can tell they are friends... and a fun bunch. This is the first RPG podcast that I've listed to and thought to myself, "I want to hang around with these guys and throw dice." Keep up the great work guys. I hope it's as fun for you as for us, the listeners, because then you might keep up the work. (Oh, but like so many podcasts, you need a female voice in the mix. And no, Gormley the witch, while very enjoyable in his, er, her right, does not count.)Read full review »

There are many live play recorded podcasts, but thanks to a combination fan effort of sound, comedy and experience role-players, "The Giant's Path" opens up with Troy at the wheel DMing. If you want to know, really know what a tabletop should run like with minimal banter and segways,...Read full review »
