“As a subscriber to American magazine. I am greatly saddened by the views often expressed by Mrs Purvis. She uses her religious beliefs to discriminate against and make fun of our LBGTQ brothers and sisters. I have been so disturbed before I reached out to Mrs Purvis over Twitter. In the most recent episode. She makes fun of what she believes was a transgender person. My Catholic beliefs guide me to love my neighbor. No exceptions. The holy father is trying to show us a pathway to love all of gods children. And has even welcomed transgender individuals to the Vatican that have been discriminated against. Perhaps Mrs Purvis is unaware of this or feels that her understanding is superior to our holy father.”
