Pretty good but….
This is a fascinating story, and one that deserves to be told. It is a well produced podcast and makes for engaging listening. However, it gets only a two from me because I think there’s too much, way, too much, unfounded racial insinuation in the intro and marketing for this podcast. Her brilliant achievements as a prosecutor stand for themselves and that is why they are remembered. But somehow Nicole Perkins feels it necessary to allege that “at a time when black history is being erased“ the story is more poignant than ever. That is both entirely untrue and does so much to undermine the amazing work that has been done to present a more balanced view of history - there is no major media platform these days does not have a Black History Month, the Academy Awards themselves now have diversity criteria, textbooks are being rewritten, curricula are being re-examined to include a more balanced view of our history. So to say that we should hear her story because black history is being erased is both an insult to the progress and is just untrue. So I’m sorry Eunice Carter, but IHEART only gets a two.

It’s clear that the absence of stories like this in education, news, etc. is intentional. So glad you are intentional too…about the business of telling these incredible stories. Please don’t tire, you have an audience🤗.
