Monday Musings: Getting a Colonoscopy
Listen now
Description
I believe in preventative health and today I am discussing my experience getting my first colonoscopy at the age of 52. The recommended age for colonoscopies is now 45 instead of 50. I think many people put it off because they don’t know what is going to happen, so I’m going into detail (without sharing TMI) so you can feel prepared. I put my colonoscopy off for too long because I didn’t have enough information, so I wanted to share what I know based on what I went through in case it helps you. Also, my colonoscopy was incomplete and I don’t want that to happen to you. Maybe knowing what happened to me can prevent the same thing from happening to you.
