Captain Hugh "Bulldog" Drummond was a British World War I veteran turned adventurer introduced in his eponymous novel in 1920. He quickly leaped to the stage and silent film, and then to a series of talking pictures released on both sides on the Atlantic. In the 1940s, Bulldog Drummond leaped radio in a series dedicated to telling the Drummond's American adventures.
