Great podcast, great guests, great insight and a great host, but terrible audio quality. Just terrible. Makes it very hard to listen to some days. See Xavi Alonso episode for an example of what I mean. Please consult with a podcast producer to improve the audio.

As a passionate and obsessed football fan as my self, I love the small details in football that us fans don’t really see behind the scenes, and I really enjoy the small stories that are shared on what used to go on back in the day. I have listened to 2 Episodes still, Xabi Alonso and Owen and...Read full review »

Glad Carra is back with Series 3. Proper football podcast

Love it, but some of the episodes are so quiet. Took me about four hours to listen to the Giggsy episode as I had to keep backtracking. Any football fan will love this pod though. Just class

More please Carra some excellent interviews and some great banter. Can’t wait for Neville’s turn and Redknapp. Mind you Keane and Richards will be good value.

I’ve listened to all of these podcasts twice and it really is the most insightful, in depth and funny football podcast you could ever hope for. Carra is a natural interviewer whose easy style relaxes his guests and allows the stories to flow. More please Carra!

This is a superb series of podcasts! The format suits Jamie as he has such a wide knowledge of the game and can recall all the key incidents going back very clearly. The guests all seem comfortable in his company and they talk freely and honestly, which is good to hear. I listen to these when out...Read full review »

Look forward to each episode. I’d love to see Cara pick a 5 a side team from his guests that he’s had on so far.

Jamie is an excellent interviewer and has fantastic guests . I love the openness and honestly from Jamie and the guests on the podcasts . Plenty more great guests to be interviewed yet no doubt in future podcasts.

Absolutely loved the Zaha episode. Lovely to here how self aware he is as a young man finding his way. A great player and maybe the Palace “Le Tis”. Chris Moyles was a clueless berk but you can’t have everything. I actually felt for Jamie trying to get a word in edgeways

Nearly in tears listening to Stevie talk about how he wishes he played under Klopp, unreal listen.
ROBKT99 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/12/21
Why has there only been one woman on the show? Are female footballers/female football fans not considered entertaining enough for the podcast? Apparently so.
feministfootballfanatic via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/10/21
Main thing I learned is that Wilfred Zaha seems pretty dumb, but kinda sweet. In anyone else’s hands- that could have been a terrible interview cause Zaha isn’t a great talker but you can just see Jamie doing a great job keeping the conversation moving and pulling out as much as he can from Wilf...Read full review »

Been listening to these whilst walking recovering from spine surgery and it’s been a great distraction from pain and it’s great to hear all the stories from all the guests. My hero’s growing up were Carra, Owen and Gerrard but other guests like Merson and Hatton were really interesting. I’ve...Read full review »

Brilliant interviews, Yes I’m a massive Liverpool fan but that’s got nothing to do with why I like it , Jamie is a very knowledgeable and funny interviewer , can’t recommend this podcast highly enough !

The former Liverpool defender turned pundit is an excellent interviewer, drawing fascinating stories and insights from his guests, an interesting mix of footballers and fans. Loved the interview with Chris Moyles, a genuinely authentic and interesting interview.

I’ve been listening to this regularly while out for a walk. Great listening. The Woodgate, Southall and Hamann episodes are superb but they’re all excellent. Carra has a great probing but jovial interview style which stimulates great conversation.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Greatest Game podcasts. They’re insightful, measured and enjoyable. As a Liverpool fan I’m naturally biased but the podcast has changed my view a little on someone like Michael Owen and others. I actually prefer it when Carra talks to players who didn’t play for us!...Read full review »

The Didi Hamann pod, just had me in stitches. What a great player for LFC, but comes across as a top guy as well. Keep up the great pods Carra

Started listening to this podcast very recently and I’m completely hooked. Being a United fan, the Giggsy pod was definitely my favourite

Carra is a natural. His insight, thoughts, analysis and guests are top drawer (except Chris Moyles). Love when you get insight into the great games. I’m waiting for Xabi Alonso and Kenny Dalglish!

Great podcast, great guests. Makes long car journeys much more tolerable.

This podcast is usually 5 star but this episode is well below par! Interview with someone who seems to know nothing about football, struggles to name his 5-a-side team as he can’t name 5 players. Carra should sack whoever booked this prat and sick to people who are able to string a few sentences...Read full review »

Really enjoy the podcast, good guests and good discussions. Only problem is the audio. Have to crank it up to hear the interview and then get blasted by the adverts. Please sort this out.
Carpetbowler via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/10/20
Please can you sort out the audio for future podcasts. It ruins what is a very good podcast. Sometimes I can hardly hear it, other times (adverts) are far too loud!

Good set of guests so far and some interesting insights but really quiet compared to other podcasts, except the inevitable adverts which are really loud

Love this, even though a large part of this is carra interviewing his mates (Fowler, oven, stevie) the interviews provide a crazy amount of insight into life as a professional sportsman. Asks the tough-ish questions and not afraid to put across the fans perspective
pleaseMuteJB via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/03/20
I’ve listened to 2 so far, the giggsy and Neville southall one and whilst they were great guests and very informative it always feels like Jamie just wants to try and bring it back to Liverpool at any opportunity.
Lance cool via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/03/20
Every single episode is absolutely brilliant. From a utd fan I love listening to what carragher has to say on the game, he works well with whoever he works with.
Isaac Mackennall via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 11/03/20
It is rare to see two footballers express themselves properly and not hold themselves back like Gerrard and Carragher do in this episode. It just comes across as two mates having a laugh. Despite how friendly and matey it is, it’s also still just as informative(if not more so) as a regular, more...Read full review »

Been listening since the start and a few episodes stand out massively (Stevie G and Giggs) but it’s just so good. Carra’s interview style is great and I’ve not known a podcast as good at getting into the mind of what makes an elite pro.

Jamie has done himself proud here. Cracking to get such a variation of celebrities from across the board, Tv and entertainment as well asBoxing and football. I can’t wait for the next shows
Robbieryder via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 10/29/20
What I love about this pod is the quality of the questioning but also the insight you get on the Liverpool set up from Jamie within the interview. Got to say, he interviews with the enthusiasm of a fan but the knowledge of a pro. (I’m not a member of the Carragher family).

Enjoy listening to this podcast. Good selection of people being interviewed but my one criticism is the sound levels are so up and down. Jamie will speak and it be too low so need to turn it up.
