I didn’t like you much during your playing days Jamie but great podcast!!! Can we get this in video format too?

Jamie manages to dig beneath the surface on many issues. A good listen for a long journey an away day.

Not a massive Carra fan as a player because he was a very good player who played for Liverpool. It has taken me a while to warm to him on Sky but he’s flourished. I have since jumped on these podcasts and absolutely loved them! Highlights - Michael Owen - Ryan Giggs - Sam Warburton - Steven...Read full review »

Love how Jamie manages for each podcast to be natural, like 2 mates meeting and having a catch up. Martin Compston and Ricky Hatton episodes being my highlights.

Some great guests on this look fleets to the new guest each Thursday Michael Owen episode was excellent Along with Scholes and Wright. Love it

Superb podcasts. Carra gets the players into superb levels: Andy Burnham, Ian Wright, Xabi “The Passmaster” Alonso. Phil Neville was fine though he has to choose an alternative adverb to ‘ultimately’- I counted 30 uses ! The Schmeichel one was also superb.
Radburn via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 07/01/21
Excellent podcast but this week’s episode with Andy Burnham was brilliant.
adam rumjon via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 07/01/21
Superb series of podcasts which are insightful, funny and as honest as you’d expect. Only one negative is the sound quality isn’t the best at times.
rustymagoo via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 07/01/21
Great podcast !! Enjoying all of them , including Phil Neville even if he does say the word “ultimately” about 70 times within an hour

Martinez was great, Southall was a miss but good heart. Henry was good. Phil Neville was poor. Guests could be better picked to keep quality high but I understand. Jamie asks v good questions. All I care about. The banter or whatever is just extra. Questions are v good.

The best thing about this podcast is the episodes with characters I wouldn’t normally like - Henry, clattenburg, giggs, the better Neville. You can tell how much they all like Carra so you see them from Jamie’s point of view. I started listening for the Niall horan, gerrard, Alonso episodes but...Read full review »

Really good podcast, interesting to hear about favourite players…. As an aside, listen to Phil Neville episode and count how many times he says ‘ultimately’…. I got to 30 then lost count 😁
FoxySarebear via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 06/24/21
Great podcast love it Carra. But Neville wound me up with saying “ultimately” for several 000s times lol. Joke to one side brilliant stuff , keep it up and get G Neville on.

I’ve listened to all of these podcasts twice and it really is the most insightful, in depth and funny football podcast you could ever hope for. Carra is a natural interviewer whose easy style relaxes his guests and allows the stories to flow. More please Carra! (Update) Just listened to Ian...Read full review »

Really enjoy the podcast but I don’t listen to the fans ones anymore. I enjoy listening to the professionals in the biggest games of their career, giving the insight into what went on in the dressing room etc. I’m not a fan of the podcasts of other sportsman or celebrities as much.

I have only just started listening to podcasts. The Greatest Game was one I found, I absolutely love it, haven’t listened to them all yet, and not all in order, but what I have listened to have been excellent. Jamie is brilliant, and the guests are great. I particularly enjoyed Paddy Mcguiness.

Down to earth, open and honest. I have really enjoyed it so far, can’t wait to see who you get on next… Jurgen? Rafa? Virgil?

Great podcast, great guests, great insight and a great host, but terrible audio quality. Just terrible. Makes it very hard to listen to some days. See Xavi Alonso episode for an example of what I mean. Please consult with a podcast producer to improve the audio.

As a passionate and obsessed football fan as my self, I love the small details in football that us fans don’t really see behind the scenes, and I really enjoy the small stories that are shared on what used to go on back in the day. I have listened to 2 Episodes still, Xabi Alonso and Owen and...Read full review »

Glad Carra is back with Series 3. Proper football podcast

Love it, but some of the episodes are so quiet. Took me about four hours to listen to the Giggsy episode as I had to keep backtracking. Any football fan will love this pod though. Just class

More please Carra some excellent interviews and some great banter. Can’t wait for Neville’s turn and Redknapp. Mind you Keane and Richards will be good value.

This is a superb series of podcasts! The format suits Jamie as he has such a wide knowledge of the game and can recall all the key incidents going back very clearly. Jamie is an excellent interviewer and has fantastic guests . I love the openness and honestly from Jamie and the guests on the podcasts . Plenty more great guests to be interviewed yet no doubt in future podcasts.

Absolutely loved the Zaha episode. Lovely to here how self aware he is as a young man finding his way. A great player and maybe the Palace “Le Tis”. Chris Moyles was a clueless berk but you can’t have everything. I actually felt for Jamie trying to get a word in edgeways
Athletico Cheese via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/14/21
Nearly in tears listening to Stevie talk about how he wishes he played under Klopp, unreal listen.
ROBKT99 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/12/21
Why has there only been one woman on the show? Are female footballers/female football fans not considered entertaining enough for the podcast? Apparently so.
feministfootballfanatic via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/10/21
Main thing I learned is that Wilfred Zaha seems pretty dumb, but kinda sweet. In anyone else’s hands- that could have been a terrible interview cause Zaha isn’t a great talker but you can just see Jamie doing a great job keeping the conversation moving and pulling out as much as he can from Wilf...Read full review »

Been listening to these whilst walking recovering from spine surgery and it’s been a great distraction from pain and it’s great to hear all the stories from all the guests. The former Liverpool defender turned pundit is an excellent interviewer, drawing fascinating stories and insights from his guests, an interesting mix of footballers and fans. Loved the interview with Chris Moyles, a genuinely authentic and interesting interview.
