Super interesting
5 stars because the topic- cons and how we fall for them - is very interesting. The host is great, the production is clear. If you are interested in how people believe, you might like this. For me it is about the most interesting thing. I looked at the 1 star reviews. The number one complaint is the host's voice. I suppose it is subjective, but to me that complaint doesn't hold any water. If you decide which podcast to listen to by the host's voice, then you probably should be listening to the radio instead. Besides she sounds fine.Read full review »

Content is excellent but ultimately unlistenable due to the host's extreme inflections. Maria - it's early in this series. Do yourself and everyone a favor and take a radio announcer course and we'll all love you for it.Read full review »

As a lifelong connoisseur of all things carny, this pod fills a void. Lovely, thoughtful caster, Maria Konnikova brings a measured kindness to tales of the art of swindle and the swindler themselves. Production value is top notch and the caster presents each story with heart and ample research.
