“Love this podcast. Some of the grifts are hit or miss for interesting, but that's what happens in such a niche topic. The host has a good sense of when to include quotes and how to build emotional moments; I also think she does a good job humanizing the victims so we understand it's not just fools getting sucked in.
I do think she glamorizes the grifters a bit, especially the carnival conman. There's a fine line between expressing the talent and making them seem easily forgivable, and she crosses it in a few episodes. They certainly hurt a lot of people, and that's no task that should ever be aggrandized.
