Great topics, odd timing
Love this podcast. Some of the grifts are hit or miss for interesting, but that's what happens in such a niche topic. The host has a good sense of when to include quotes and how to build emotional moments; I also think she does a good job humanizing the victims so we understand it's not just fools getting sucked in. I do think she glamorizes the grifters a bit, especially the carnival conman. There's a fine line between expressing the talent and making them seem easily forgivable, and she crosses it in a few episodes. They certainly hurt a lot of people, and that's no task that should ever be aggrandized. I think her voice is fine; she enunciates clearly, speaks brightly and thoughtfully. Fascinating subject, but I agree with other reviewers that the subject-host airtime should be flipped and that the host needs to drop the frankly pretentious vocal inflections.

As podcasts go, this one is listenable. The topics discussed are interesting enough, although sometimes delivered a little too tongue-in-cheek.
