A rich trip down Memory Lane, to Gringle's Pawn Shop
A fine reminiscence on the joys of first discovering RuneQuest 2, back in the 1980's, drawn into a modern context with an appreciation of the developments of 21st century RPGs. The style tends towards monologue, which in a podcast of this length some might find a teensy bit wearing, but Dirk's Boltonian tones and gentle (and clean) humour made the whole affair quite soothing for me personally. I’ve been a follower since Ep1 and after catching up on a few episodes I had stashed away thought I’d chuck my 5* Dirks way. If you want to hear why D&D players are A#%^Holes or why playing RPGs back in the day was akin to Terry Waite’s extended hols then Dirk’s your man !! Love it
